A new era of Normal CornBelters baseball is taking shape this summer, with new front office staff and additions at the concession stands arriving at the Corn Crib. The CornBelters are emphasizing the overall fan experience heading into the new year. The ’Belters brought in a new Assistant General Manager, Joey Schor, and Director of Fan Engagement, Shelby Hibbens, for the 2026 season.

As well as being AGM, Schor also manages the Food and Beverage Department, helping launch “Corny’s”, a dessert bar, highlighting new amenities like Dippin Dot’s. Located near the “Kids Zone”, Corny’s adds another family-orientated element to the ballpark. Fans can not only enjoy a variety of food and beverages, but also dessert on a humid summer night.

Hibbens has developed an engaging promo schedule for the season, with the first scheduled event May 30, “Bark In The Park” presented by Gibson Arena Hospital and Human Services. Fans can bring their dogs to the ballpark for a night featuring pup cups, a pre-game doggy parade, specialty drinks, and a dog leash giveaway for the first 200 fans in attendance presented by Pavlov Media. This event is just one of many scheduled for the upcoming season including Toy Story night, sports night, and more! The Corn Crib will also have a fireworks display on June 19, July 3, 18, and 25.

With these new additions, fans can expect a lively and fan-focused atmosphere at the Corn Crib this season. The organization strives to turn a regular 9-inning baseball game into a memorable outing for families, baseball fans, and the Bloomington-Normal community.
