The Normal CornBelters announced today that the Prospect League has canceled their 2020 season due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and resulting government regulations across the five state league. The team will still plan to play in 2020. The first game is currently scheduled for Wednesday, July 1st.

“We are saddened by the news from the Prospect League office this morning. No decision like this is made quickly and without careful consideration,” CornBelters President of Operations Matt Stembridge said. “We are committed to providing our fans, this community, and baseball fans in the region in the opportunity to enjoy our nation’s pastime this summer at the Corn Crib. We look forward to sharing that vision next week.”

The ‘Belters will host 30 games at the Corn Crib in a season that will run from July 1st through August 9th. Ticket will go on sale at a later date. Due to capacity limits, only a limited number of tickets will be made available.

A revised game and promotional schedule will be available June 4th. If you have already purchased tickets to a CornBelters game this summer, a representative will be in contact with you once our new schedule has been released to choose your new dates.
