KCL Week #3: Blue Caps End Week on 3 Game Win Streak

Another exciting week is in the books for the KCL. Ground Sloths remain at the top of the standings with an 8-4 record, while the Blue Caps had the best week going 3-1 with a +11 run differential.
This week was a week for the Blue Caps, as they also have 2 of their players taking the crown for batter and pitcher of the week. The batter of the week goes to Caleb Royer, going 7-13 with 3 home runs, 7 RBIs, and 4 runs. The pitcher of the week goes to Will O’Gorman, with 1 start, 4 innings pitched, 6 strikeouts while only giving up 1 hit and 1 walk.
The first extra-inning home run derby game of the season took place this week on June 8th, as the Ground Sloths defeated the Bobcats. Judah Morris outpowered Pat Mulcahey. The very next day, Friday the 9th, Bryce Bishop gave Morris a taste of his own medicine, as the Merchants defeated the Sloths in the 2nd extra-inning home run derby of the season.
