Most Dominant Game and Biggest Nail Biter Opening Weekend of KCL

I developed an artificially intelligent algorithm based off the past two years of KCL data to output a live in-game forecast of the current game. After each inning, the algorithm outputs a team’s win probability based on the runs, hits, and errors of both teams at the end of the inning. After 8 KCL games during opening weekend, the Most Dominant Game of the Weekend and the Biggest Nail Biter of the Weekend were selected based off the algorithm.

Most Dominant Game of the Weekend

The Ground Sloths earned the Most Dominant Game of the Weekend after their 11-0 win over the Bobcats on Thursday May 25^th. After the Ground Sloths 7-run 2^nd inning, the win probability for the Ground Sloths jumped to 99.9% and stayed there until the end.

Biggest Nail Biter of the Weekend

The Bluecaps and Bobcats earned the Biggest Nail Biter of the Weekend with their matchup on Friday May 26^th. The Bobcats were down 3-4 after the 2^nd inning with a 41.4% chance to win but tallied up a run in the 3^rd inning and a run in 4^th inning to take the lead 5-4 to give them a 64.4% chance to win. After taking the lead, the Bobcats shutout the Bluecaps for the rest of the game to secure the win.
